About Us
The Tippecanoe Recycling and Solid Waste District is dedicated to supporting recycling and the safe disposal of hazardous materials in Tippecanoe. We fund the household hazardous waste drop-off that operates out of the transfer station at 2770 North 9th Street, two electronics recycling events per year, and four husehold recycling drop-of locatons throughout the county.

Hazardous Products
Our Staffed Drop Off Collection Site takes 60 kinds of Leftover Products That Can Pollute or Hurt People. The Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off is located at the County Transfer Station at 2770 N 9th St in Lafayette.

Trash Disposal
When you've recycled all you can, here's where to dispose of your trash.
If you live in the city limits of Lafayette and West Lafayette, curbside recycling and trash services are provided by the Cities. Contact the Cities' Street Departments for information about curbside pickup (Lafayette Steet Department: 807-1411, West Lafayette Street Department: 775-5242). If you live in the county of Tippecanoe, a variety of private trash services provide trash pick up.
Composting
Composting can be done easily at home and used in gardens or lawns. Brush and yard waste can be taken to the transfer station at a small fee. See the composting tab for details and ideas for at home composting.
